Why doesn't the tea I make taste like the store made?

Tea is made primarily of water so if you do not use purified or mineral water it will not taste the same.  For example if you were to make herbal tea and use tap water it would have an undertone of chlorine or minerals because of the way tap water is processed. (i.e. it is processed using chlorine)  The other components of a good cup of tea is the temperature of water used to make it with, the steeping tool, and total time steeped.  If it is a green or white tea it will come out bitter if you burn it or steep it too long.  Steeping means to cover it while brewing it otherwise it is just steaming and will make it taste different.  Also, you do not want to re-boil leftover water as the hydronium and hydroxide ions that disappear will effect the taste of the tea.  If you have any other questions please email us or check out our FAQ page.

Sweet Pomegranate Green Tea

Sencha green tea combined with the sweet flavor of pomegranate makes this tea a great experience hot or as a flavored iced tea.
